In order to ensure control of nuclear and radiation safety, Atomenergoprom enterprises have the All-Russia automated radiation ambient monitoring system (ASCRO) in place. The data is sent to Rosatom Emergency Center and is available online at the websites of many AEP enterprises.

 

 

 

The Company has in place a set of comprehensive measures and programs for ensuring physical security of nuclear materials and assets, which implies countering nuclear terrorism, compliance with non-proliferation regime, enhancing the level of security of nuclear facilities and as well as nuclear materials, radioactive substances and ionizing radiation sources storage locations.

 

This activity is carried out within the framework of the state physical security system, taking into account international obligations of the Russian Federation, current international standards and Russian laws and regulations in the area of nuclear power use.
