JSC Atomenergoprom (full name — Joint Stock Company Atomic Energy Power Corporation, short name — AEP) is a Russian state vertical integrated company, which unites circa 50 enterprises of the nuclear industry. Atomenergoprom provides full production cycle of nuclear power engineering — from uranium production to nuclear power plant construction and energy generation. AEP already includes such large companies as Rosenergoatom Concern (#2 in the world by nuclear electricity generation) TVEL (17% of the world nuclear fuel market), TENEX (40% of the world uranium enrichment services market). 

AEP was established in order to consolidate the assets of the civilian part of the Russian nuclear industry which has a history of over 60 years. It has absorbed the unique experience accumulated across the whole range of technologies of nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear power plant construction. 100% of JSC Atomenergoprom is controlled by Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM). It is a Russian publicly-owned corporation, which is the leader in the global nuclear technologies market. It brings together nuclear power and power engineering assets, as well as NPP design and construction. ROSATOM is the largest electricity generating company in Russia, producing 196.37 billion kWh of electricity in 2016 (or 18.3% of the country’s total generation of electricity). ROSATOM holds first place in terms of the number of electricity generating units under construction simultaneously abroad (34 NPP units in 12 countries). ROSATOM produces annually approximately 3,000 tons of uranium domestically, and some 5,000 tons in other countries.
