Atomenergoprom priority is ensuring safety of the production processes, working conditions and health and wellbeing of its employees. The employees are provided with optimal working conditions under which the effect of harmful and/or hazardous production factors is either completely absent or the level of such exposure does not exceed the values established by current standards and considered as safe for humans. This creates the prerequisites for maintaining a high level of efficiency of employees of enterprises and organizations of AEP.

One of the main principles of the activities of Atomenergoprom is to ensure the priority of preserving the life and health of its employees. The industry organizations are conducting a systematic work to increase the level of safety, including  the reduction of occupational injuries and the level of exposure to personnel to harmful production factors, as well as ensuring the safety of contractors.

The leading enterprises in the industry have been certified for the compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Management Certification OHSAS 18001 and regularly undergo the re-certification audits. Audits are held on a regular basis. They include selective inspections of subdivisions, inspections of the working environment, equipment, sites, buildings and structures, as well as documentation on occupational safety.
